Any recommendations...

My full system is in storage and will be for a few years my stripped down set up will consist of 15" macbook pro, traktor, an x1 controller, a maschine, a rane 2016 with xp unit and 2 event 20/20. I need a very compact set up that I can roll around the apt when I get the urge to play but won't be an eyesore when I roll it back into the bedroom.

Any help as always is appreciated.

a Denon 2000 controller will work nicer, it has a jog which is nice and is probably more fun to play with than the x1. but I don't really see how your setup is wrong

I just re read my post, I can ramble a bit more than necessary at times so forgive me :)

I need something that will hold the set up. Preferably something that rolls around and is compact and not ugly with doors that can hide the set up.

The denon looks fun but the x1 takes up so little space I could have it between my tt's or racks in my old set up. The maschine will be used as a remix deck and together side by side both will be a bit larger than my my macbook. Which is convenient for a tiny apt.

So you need a cabinet to put it in/on?

I guess DIY would work the best here, construct a plywood/MDF box, put some wheels under it, cabinet doors and either paint it or cover it in some kind of plastic/wrap/colour thingie

I was afraid you'd say that. I am one really bad carpenter :)

You might find a Dressoir on wheels somewhere that suits your needs, but there are quite some specific things that you need: A height of around 90 cm for comfortable workheight, space for a Mac, place to mount a deep mixer, the machine and the speakers. It can be done I think, but you'd still have to DIY for the mixer and possibly speakerstands

I have a 11U slant over 16u vertical rack case mounted on wheels that I need to move. Like this one:

Where are you located?

Thanks for the offer

It's a great roll around but I can hear my wife's expression, hahahaha.

There was a company that made dj consoles and I can't find it in the pictures thread. But they had a unit that made sense for what I'm doing and would agree with my wifes aesthetic desires.

maybe try to contract with a local cabinetmaker, and come up with a custom option....

should be pretty straightforward... just let him/her know your goals/budget
