Not sure how scientific their approach was but I think that the comparison is futile as the DJ behind the mixer will ultimately determine how it sounds. Would be nice to at least acknowledge the DJR400 and the Rane 2016. To be honest, I think the Rane is probably the best "mass produced" rotary mixers ever made. The Rane was built at a time when DJs were using both vinyl and CD. It also served as a "bridge" between the Urei and "boutique" mixers of today as well as being an innovation in its implementation of the secondary EQ section.
