Wierd Cone movment in Skoop Bins?

Last Saturday was the first test of my new scoops. The Eminence design, the really wide ones loaded with 18" Omega Pros.
Everything went well and I was very impressed with the sound quality as the bins put out the exact sound that I was hoping for.

In the morning I noticed that the cons where moving into the cab more than out. I think this can be one of three things.

(1) I made a wiring mistake and all 4 bins where out of
(2) There is too much or to little pressure behind the cone.
(3) This is just the case with scoops.

Like is said the sound coming out of them was just what I wanted. Iím just warred that I might damage my cones.

cones moving backward into the cabinet

Mistake in wiring! You wired them out-of-phase. This will cause no damage, but wont sound quite right! reverse polarity. Use a 9 volt battery to make the woofers move, all you do is put the battery to the speaker wire and the + terminal of the battery should make the cone push out towards you! Thats positive polarity.

Damn Dyslexia!

Thanks thatís what I thought just making shore I wasn't doing any damage.

I'm going to have to start again with my cables because they were all done by different people at different times non of which new quite what they where doing. Its amazing the bins where in faze with each over.

I gess I should start thinking about mid and top now. At the moment I'm using my mates Peavey HiSysô 4XT and some very very old speakers which I think were originally made for lead guitar, these are amazing they have been on the Irish rave circuit for about 10 years and have taken more abuse than any speaker ever disserves.

Any way I would like to improve.
