Sound System Hookup
I am putting together an old school, analogue, RLA-type sound system and I would appreciate any help in how to wire it correctly and where each electronic piece should be placed in the chain. Should all electronics be placed in the loop of the mixer and in what order? The system includes a Bozak mixer, 3 turntables, Bertha cabinets with EV subs, Waldorf cabinets with TAD 1601-b's, JBL 2441 drivers, JBL 2404 baby cheeks, and 2 JBL 2402 bullett tweeter arrays. Also, any advice on specific wires (where to buy or fabricate) and any specific settings on the Urie 525 crossover would also be helpful.
The electronics are as follows:
1. Bozak mixer
2. GSA crossover (RLA clone)
3. E&S isolator
4. 2 Urei 529 EQs (mono units, cut only)
5. Acoustilog Image Enhancer
6. DBX Disco "Boom Box"
7. DBX 503 Enhancer
8. Otari reel-to-reel (for effects)
9. Urei 525 crossover
10. Urei 546 parametric EQ
11. RLA 5000 EQ booster (may not be necessary if using isolator)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
