Home Speaker Suggestions??

Hey all, thanks for all the great threads. Learned alot from this board.

So I have a Bozak mixer DLA, complements of Mario G. I am downsizing my home speakers. Currently have Yorkville Elite E2204. I wannt to get a 3 way speaker that I can still get some thump out of but will compliment the sound of the Bozak. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Size is an issue, the 2204 are just taking up too much space so i'd like to get something that perhaps could be suspended????? dunno.

Thanks.

g

I'm a big fan of 70's - 80's JBL. My three way L-36's make me very happy. The 12" 3-way L-100's are a stone classic and can move a lot of air but are still apartment-safe for sure.

Pretty much any of the models that has a studio monitor equivalent will be good: those are the L series and the 43__ and 44__ series. Check the excellent Lansing-heritage forums for folks who know.

I'm getting my Bozak soon... I'll let you know how they sound together then!

I like the Tannoy sound - I've got Proto-Js in my home theater and Reveals for my computer setup. If you need a bit more oomph (both of the above have 6.5" woofers) I recommend the Yamaha YSM-1s.

klipsch cornwall are first choice. best price/value in my opinion of the heritage speakers. half weight and of klipschorn & la scala and cheaper. a stronger bass than heritage...

this is exactly what I would have written too.. I have a pair of L100 with an older Crown amp and the sound rocks. 4311 may be a bit pricey but the L100 are amazing if you can score a pair for under 500 in really good shape. & LansingHeritage.org forums are an awesome resource!

and if you hunt they can be cheaper..

G:

You need to check out: www.ciamara.com

This is the new line of products being developed by Shorty's new company geared towards home and studio use. With the fidelity of the best home audio speakers (and products) out there merged together with the horsepower and subtlety of the SBS club system, it's truly going to be an amazing product line!
