Digital 2016 for NAMM next year ?!

Nice - I love the way they've implemented the dual computer setup, makes it really easy for two dj's to play back to back or transition.

Now we just need a digital version of the 2016 ;-)

In my fantasy world it would have the same dual soundcard setup as the 62 but with more channels. Perhaps a fully modular system so the basic mixer could be really simple in terms of controls (like the current 2016). Keep the multicolour LED level indicators (these should monitor the RMS level of the program to give a basic idea of loudness - no peak meters please except for a digital clip warning)

Optional modules would control eq and fx; pref have all the DSP and audio stuff built in to the main module to keep the audio paths short. Link them together with something like A&H's X-link so you only need a single USB to the laptop.

You could have an isolator module (dual or single); an eq module; a filter module; each in 1u format with nice big knobs.

A metering module that could show rms, peak and EBU R128 loudness.

Perhaps an all singing all dancing 3u module that can control all the DSP functions with smaller more compact controls.

You could even have a slide fader module with two up faders & a cross fader for the scratch djs.

Oh actually since we're in fantasy land can it also have thunderbolt connections :-)

I would personaly be disapointed if the MP2016 went digital but they could have a add-on for serato much like the XP2016 is..

I agree - I think the MP2016 is a great mixer.

Ideally I'd like them to add another new model to sit alongside the MP2016 in the range. A new digital mixer design that's suited to house dj's / "mixing" dj's - the new Rane digital offerings (62,63,68) seem very much targeted at scratch dj's.

The MP25 and MP26 are getting there but the EQ section seems a little cramped to me and they lack the dual soundcard (obviously no rotary fader option either).

I agree the MP25 and MP26 are a good thought but there is no room for fingers!
