Would be nice if you made options... One with all knobs, one with all buttons.

Does it require a virtual MIDI cable/driver to work as a MIDI device for other programs or do you have your own PC/MAC drivers ?

Where did you get your USB Vendor/Device IDs ? When i was doing stuff like this before these was expensive, hope that have changed now.

I'm working on a midi controller project which I will be releasing details on very soon. Completely unique and geared toward the professional touring dj. A midi controller built like a Urei.

BTW, Charles, there's no "unity gain" on a midi controller. It's an analog control mapped to a digital function, to put it simply. Granted most pots, even with linear tapers don't have a perfectly linear response, the pot, whether a rotary or linear design, will track with its digital function 1:1, end-to-end, unless you start manipulating the incoming controller data (which you can do). You're kinda mixing apples and oranges.

P.S. I know quite a few guys running the MOTU UltraLite-mk3 interface @ 192kHz with Traktor as it's perfect with 8 - 1/4" outs, sounds phenomenal. Perfect for rocking 4 decks. The limitation with Traktor is as long as you're not using control discs (vinyl, cd's), you can use whatever interface you want.

Awesome ideas guys! Making Traktor more intuitive is the most important thing right now for me. it needs to be close enough to fool me I'm on a Urei, ARS or E&S

I understand, LOG vs Linear pots.. what Knobzmidi is working on now is to get a linear pot to feel and act more like what we're used to on a rotary.

Really nice to see knobzmidi is on the way to building his second prototype with quality parts and a 2U unit with more mixer functions.

That motu unit would be a great match with traktor Adam. Please post pics of your midi-urei
