New EAW Avalon series.

Sorry if this has already been discussed. Another club orientated system on the market this year. The dance music market place is not exactly lacking at the moment!

This system is currently at the pool at the Delano Hotel for WMC. So if anyone is there you will be some of the first people to hear it.

Those do look very neat. I danced many times under the very first avalon system in Boston.

weird, i somehow missed both jbl and eaw stands in frankfurt.

these look like a solid design. probably 1,2, or 4 12s or 15s either horn loaded or angeled baffled with a sufficiently large hf horn. also looks similar to the d&b C4, a proven box.

that eaw uses some very interesting proprietary processing, could be a nice box. unless it ported, not sure how it could go low, though.

however, nations in dc did not impress me.

I heard it, as it was next to my void rig for a week at the national.

It sounds way way way better than the original Avalon, but I am not sold on the HF. It is very linear, maybe overly linear, and lacked a finesse in the 10k and up range. But, for those that want it, it is so much better than the original avalon it is not funny. well made, good looking. And they had it on SB2000's subs not the final sub.

So to me it was very very thick on the 160hz to 350hz range, but I did hear one night, where it sounded very good, and I can bet you can guess who was playing that private fundraser.
