Angry Urei 1620 vs. New Urei 1620LE

Has anyone actually tried a comparison between the orignal Urei 1620 and the NEW Urei 1620LE for sound quality. I had a Bozak and needed to sell it about three years ago. Now I miss it but most of the ones avialable are beat up and worn badly. I know the Urei sounds very close to a Bozak and now the Urei has reintroduced the 1620 as the 1620LE. It would be awsome if this new mixer really did sound close to the orignal. Has anyone done a comparison yet ?

Thanks LuvLatins

"Urei 1620 and the NEW Urei 1620LE"

This should have been done by Soundcraft/UREI from the start of the relaunch. It should be right on the website to answer the most common question surrounding the 1620LE.

I agree but the one page “review” on the website is just a one page marketing slick. I have read one other one but I think I am going to wait until a true expert or two on here or wave reviews it.

Im actually leaning toward buying an old Bozak, and sending it to Mario G on the Wave forum they say he does amazing work refurbishing them. Nothing but compliments and I know what a Bozak sounds like, LOL

search results for UREI 1620LE

here are what popped up when I did a search on "UREI 1620LE" on the forum...

http://www.wavemusic.com/community/s...by=&sortorder=

as I recall there have been a few opinions posted, nothing really in-depth, but the verdict seems good on initial quality.... now for the test of time...

Well in my opinion the UREILE sound diffrent from the original but, as far as I know, the LE is the best Club Mixer avaliable at any store, I will get one if i have to buy one mixer for a club
