Painting Technics Turntables?

Anyone know if one can buy the original silver colour to paint a 1200? Haven't got a clue about this but might give it a shot with a shabby/beat-up deck. Any other coloured sprays anyone has used???

I have done it once, i just got the panel beater who paints all my custom coloured turntables to match the colour, he got close but it was a touch shinny for my liking!
The big issue is the Decal but it never bother me not to have them on my turntable!

Yeah I thought the decal/lettering would be an issue. Surely a way round this no? There are stickers available but would love to know a proper way of doing it.

Yeah saw those stickers, I suppose they are the best option.

Special K, Ive read most people are using body repair paint so the list of colours is endless . My friend has his own body repair garage so Im sure he will have some interesting colours.

you could even do a 'color changing' deck paint job if you have friends in automotive paint!

I think I've seen some repainted Technics with laster print or what it is called... looked real good, but it was probably expensive... :-)

Yeah endless is corect, we have painted hundreds of 1200's, find a comercial chemical striper first and get it dip striped.
After it's stripped you can paint it any colour or any type of electroplating can be done, my favorite is either painted white or chroming them i have chromed 22 SL1200 so far and i chromed 20 Numark TTX's for Numark Australia, it's easy to clean and always looks great!
P.S. don't Gold plate them, it looks good for about a week then it's lots and lots of polishing!!!
