Another close friend and a master of sound gone.
In my conversations with Gary he was always soft spoken and really believed in what he did. I have taken so much from my experiences with his take on a nyc room.
His passion for the craft was obvious to us all.
He will live on in many memories, those that make you smile

news has reached me from dj dennis kane that gary stewart of gsa fame has passed away.
i do hope this is just misreporting and not true.
rip gary stewart.

RIP Gary. I just heard yesterday he developed cancer a few months ago. Condolences to the family.

I didn't even know, he was such a nice guy, i have only ever spoken to him on the phone but he seemed to be a very likable guy!!

Years ago, I was planning to build a club in Honolulu.
I talked to Gary and flight him out to the island.
I took him to North shore of the island and we had talks about sound.
I learned a lot from him and his was right on point of what he said!
Respect! He is always gonna be on the map now and years after!

My condolences to his family and everyone who knew him personally, I'm truly sorry for your loss.
For those of us who never met him, it's a huge loss to the community. Let's make sure that his memory lives on by continuing to spread the word about quality audio and the contribution that Gary Stewart made to the field. May we all be so lucky as to find what he did: something you love and can devote your life and energy to. Rest in peace.
