Your work is excellent

Kevin , hope all is well. I can honestly say that the console you built me is
top notch and has made me very happy... Working with you
and knowing you stand behind it was a big plus as well.

I need to send you a pic ... let me know where to e-mail...

welcome Kevin you do nice work mate!

This question goes out to everyone constructing anything. do you work with particle board or MDF or PLY? i only ask as i just started to refuse to work with MDF due to the fumes but some people tell me I'm being pedantic "which i am known for"!!!

i've used ply or hardwood in my constructions...

i hear that MDF coated with void free ply makes excellent cabinets,
assuming you affix them together really well...

I built mine out of baltic birch plywood. The density of MDF makes it nice for speaker cabs, but ply is cosiderably stronger and lighter so for a console ply is the way to go IMO. Of course it costs a little more.....

I use sandply, which is a very nice piece of plywood, or sometimes I use birch.

Hello Wavemusic peeps. I'm new to the forum. Just wanted to introduce myself. First and foremost, I'm a garagehead. First experience the club in 1977. I'm also a DJ that still play vinyl (6,000 and counting). My system consist of 1200s, UREI, RLA X-2000 crossover, Ashley crossover, RG Dynamics Processors, Mackie 1604, Crown Macrotech Amps and 4 Yorkville Elite double 18s (sub) 4 Yorkville Elite double 15s w/horn and bullet, 2 Fane bullet boxes, etc...

I've read a lot of the post here and enjoy the knowledge that is shared. I am interested in getting a suspension system for my 1200s. I would like individual boxes for each turntable (3 turntables). My reasoning is that I do mobile gigs and it would be easier to transport. Kevin do you build individual suspension boxes? And, can you email me a quote to garageatlarge@yahoo. Thanks.

2 turntables in the middle floating. 2 cd player on the ends. The cdj in the middle is on an odyssey stand. 3 six space racks on the front angle.

Never saw Tony's console but did you ever see Frankie Knuckles' console?
It's well sexy, he said it was David Morales old one (Dave gave it to him), I saw it a couple of times in pics or interviews with him on TV, not sure who built it though. Looked a lot like this though
