Anybody know anything about the Technics SL1200 MK5 and MK5G? I've seen the pictures...but don't know what the technical/feature improvements are over the M3d and MK4. Anybody?

they are pretty much the same as 1200,s but with a gunmetal color tonearm. Wider pitch range and blue leds by pitch fader. They DO look nice!

DATE

So when are these tech1200 mk5 coming out, I need a date or more information. I am going to purchase some techs but if the mk5s come out soon, then I'll wait to buy those instead of the mk2s.I also live in Canada so hopefully it won't take years or so to get here.

Importing...

I imported a pair of Mk3DKs which got through as gifts just fine. I was considering doing it with Mk5Gs, but they are about $600 a piece just to get ahold of after the conversion...

MK5G

It will retail something like $499, I've been told. Not sure when it's gonna be released though, but it WILL come out this year.
